Trade safely on SC Market

SC Market is a meeting place, not a middleman: no aUEC passes through it, so it can't hold payment or refund a trade. You stay safe by choosing who you trade with, keeping a record of the deal, and blocking or reporting anyone who breaks the rules.

Check who you're trading with

• Ratings and reviews. Buyers and sellers review each other after their orders, with a 1-5 rating and a comment. A shop's rating comes from its customers' reviews.

• Badges. Shown next to a seller's rating. For example, "99.9%+ rating and 25+ transactions", "1000+ orders completed", "Responds to 90% of orders within 24 hours" and "Active seller for 1+ year". Hover over a badge to see what it means.

• Order history. Look at how many orders a seller has completed before you agree to a large trade.

Keep a record

Agree on the price, quantity and meeting place in the order chat on SC Market, or in the order's Discord thread: messages are copied between the two. That way the terms are written down if anything goes wrong.

Steps for the hand-off

1. Agree in the order chat on what's traded, for how much aUEC, and where.

2. Meet in game and check the item before you pay.

3. Pay the agreed aUEC in game. Never send real money: real-money trading isn't allowed, in line with CIG's Terms of Service.

4. Once the trade is done, leave an honest review on the order.

Block a user

Open the user's profile and use its actions menu to Block them personally, or for your org. Blocked users can't create orders or offers with you, and they aren't notified. Manage your list in Settings under Blocked Users.

Report content

Use Report Content on a listing, service or recruiting post, or the report link in the site footer for the page you're on. Pick a reason such as Scam, Fake Listing or Harassment, add details, and submit. The SC Market team reviews every report.
